As the year comes to an end, let not your heart be troubled

As the year comes to an end, let not your heart be troubled. I know what it feels like to look through the year and think that no good really happened to you as you didn’t record victory just like others did. It is very possible for you to look at yourself and feel displeased with the happenings of your life, and hence I have written this post to encourage you.

Over my few years on earth, I have come to realise that one of the greatest things that make people lose their joy, is having a troubled heart. This could be a result of events in their life or of people close to them. Life issues and challenges are real, and it is basically designed to steal our joy.

But there is a better way to live

In the midst of turmoil and lots of confusion, it is your personal decision to choose the state you will be at. Loving yourself means choosing your peace as a priority above everything else. Yes, you might have not got your dream job yet, your better half may not have appeared, but one thing is certain, God never fails, and he never comes late.

God is always working

It doesn’t matter what life throws at you. His plan for your life will surely come to pass. And even as the year comes to an end, instead of losing your joy, and having a troubled heart, do the following to keep up your peace of mind:

  1. Praise God for his divine protection over your life and your loved ones
  2. Appreciate him for the doors he opened and even the ones he didn’t open
  3. Thank God for your sanity and peace of mind
  4. Ask him to help you trust him like never before
  5. Commit your journey in the coming year into his hands

And Finally

Let not your heart be troubled. Remember, all the devil is concerned about is stealing your happiness. Choose to stay focused on God and then you will be able to see the big things he is already doing behind the scene.

Remember this scripture in John 10:10

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

And then, be encouraged by these songs –My life is in your hands by Kirk Franklin and Because you live by Sinach
