When the spark is no longer there

When the spark is no longer there
And everything seems like it ain’t working
When the lights go off
And the darkness in the valley below

When the spark is no longer there
When all you hear is whispers from within
Of loss, of fear, of doubt

When the spark is no longer there
And there are many questions to the ”WHY” you ever started
Is it the time to retreat or back out?

When the spark is no longer there
There is no need to lose your hope and faith
For if all did do the same at this point
We wouldn’t have a victory song left in our archive

When the spark is no longer there
There is sure a way out to take
This way may sometimes lead to a new path
Or maybe keep you on the track you have always known

When the spark is no longer there
My friend, sometimes you don’t need to keep forcing the horse to drink
Some waters’ not as sweet as others
The wilderness might have a fountain some other way
Save this tasteless drink

When the spark is no longer there
And all hope seems lost
When all friends turn their backs in pity
And you lose  touch
of the very life, you dreamed of

When the spark is no longer there
And all you have is you yourself alone
So what then do you do to regain strength and spark

This is my very simple advice to you
Cling to the road you are on
And develop new wings to fly
