Today, apply the principle of doing

the principle of doing
the principle of doing

Today,  I am talking on one topic I love so much- the principle of doing. You know why? I have seen the tremendous impact of applying this principle in my everyday life.

When I look at so many great people I admire, role models, mentors, I see one thing clearly from their end. They are constantly on one project or the other. Often times, I wonder, don’t these people tire out?  How do they refresh, or do they relax, how do they refire?

Well, I believe that over time, they have been able to master simple principles that work for them. While this post isn’t centred around what you should do when you feel overwhelmed with work and project, you can still click here to read about it.

What exactly is the principle of doing?

Like I often like to simplify any term I put up in my post, I will do the same for this. The principle of doing simply means, doing what you planned out to do, when you planned out for it and how you planned to achieve it. This is one of the salient points in setting and achieving goals. I have a free Goal Setting Workbook I created that can help you out on this, click here for the free download.

Having explained what the principle of doing is, how can you start applying it?

In simple terms, I like to say that, ”there is nothing you want to achieve that you cant achieve, once you set your mind to it and work towards it”. So many times, I realize that what stops people from achieving their goals, is simply that they think they themselves cannot achieve it.

In this post, I will share 3 practical ways you can set yourself up and start applying the principle of doing.

Be Optimistic

Yes, achieving anything great first starts in your mind. You need to be able to train your mind into believing that you can achieve anything you want. Once you settle it in your mind that you can achieve what you want, then that’s actually the very first step to doing.

Make a good plan

”If you want to build a house, you must sit down to count your cost”. This is what the Holy Bible says. To apply the principle of doing, you need to be a good planner. Sit down, write down what you want to achieve, plan it, set timeline and date for each step to be taken. By doing this, you sure are on your way to achieving your goal.

Do it!

There is no better way of applying the principle of doing save doing what you set out to do. Many times, people are unnecessary afraid. They keep asking themselves all the WHAT IF questions and allow themselves to be cheated out of achieving their goal. If you want something, after planning for it, go for it, by DOING IT. There is no better way to say this, JUST DO IT, just like Nike says, even if it means DOING IT AFRAID.

In Conclusion

I trust that this post has inspired you to take actions on that big dream in your heart. If you still need further help in achieving your goals, taking steps and doing that very thing you want to do, please feel free to send me a mail :adegokeolawunmi@yahoo.com.

I will be willing to help you out on this.

Cheers
